This year has been far from “normal”. Despite this, Impact felt it was important to try and keep the Impact team spirit up whilst raising funds for a very good cause by getting our office staff to participate in Comic Relief Red Nose Day on Friday 19th March. Due to Covid-19, we have a limited number of staff working in the office compared to normal, but this did not deter our fundraising efforts with even our staff who are working from home joining in to raise some money.
So, how much did we raise?
Despite the difficulties with a lean office staff load and having to keep to strict Covid-19 safety guidelines, we still managed to surpass our target goal of £200 and raised a whopping £250! This was all thanks to the brilliant Impact team, our wonderful customers and social media community that donated and shared our page.
What did we do to fundraise?
As a bid to raise as much money as possible, we had a dress down day and staff paid to wear what they liked, so long as it included something red in honour of Red Nose Day. If they did not have anything red, they were fined an extra £1! We organised a bake sale with a superb arrange of cakes and key lime pie provided by some of the bakers of the team. Then to top the day off, we put together a fun, socially distanced “spin the wheel” raffle with some great prizes. This included official Comic Relief merchandise, chocolates and wine donated by Impact. This was a fun activity and provided a little light relief from current circumstances with the whole team enjoying their Friday afternoon.
It is not too late to donate!
