On Friday, the Impact team hosted a coffee morning to support the campaign “World’s Biggest Coffee Morning” for Macmillan. To raise as much money as possible, the team organised a few activities including:
Bake Sale
Some of our very talented members of staff baked an array of delicious sweet treats to enjoy for our bake sale. There was so much choice from Colin Caterpillar cakes, huge muffins and rocky road cakes which were super popular with the staff.
Dress Down Day
We also had a dress down day and for a donation of £1, the staff were able to wear what they liked for the day.
“Spin the wheel” Raffle
Alongside the bake sale and dress down day, there was a “spin the wheel” raffle with some great prizes to win which included the official Macmillan merchandise and some goodies from M&S, one of Macmillan’s partners plus some wine. This was a great fun activity and provided a little light relief from current circumstances with the whole team enjoying their Friday afternoon.
How much did we raise?
For all our efforts to raise as much as we can for Macmillan, we managed to raise a whopping £197! This was all thanks to the brilliant Impact team, our wonderful customers and the social media community that donated and shared our page. According to Macmillan’s website, our donation could “pay for a Macmillan nurse for one day, helping people living with cancer and their families receive medical and emotional support.” There was also enough funds raised to provide resources to support centres.
This is an amazing achievement for the Impact team, and we are very proud to support such a great cause.
