Actions taken in 2024

Throughout 2024, we implemented several significant initiatives aimed at improving our sustainability practices and minimising our environmental footprint:

  • More accurate monitoring of waste streams – segregating paper, cards and other recyclables, such as printer toner and Ink cartridges. We also stopped using pod coffee to further reduce plastic waste.
  • We are up-cycling our electronic waste, by donating to local schools and charities
  • Fleet travel has been reduced by more effective deployment of key personnel
  • Grey fleet travel has been reduced by targeting customer visits and client meetings more effectively
  • Introduced more internal and remote meetings, thus reducing staff and customer travel and making more effective use of staff time
  • We have joined forces with the Woodland Trust to help offset our carbon impact by planting and looking after woodland in the UK. This work means that there will be more climate-fighting trees and woods protected and restored across the UK.

Actions taken in 2023

Throughout 2023, we implemented several key initiatives to improve our sustainability practice and reduce our environmental impact:

  • Switched to a green energy supplier for both gas and electricity, who guarantees that 100% of our electricity comes from renewable sources
  • Our head office has been awarded an Energy Performance Certificate with rating B
  • Introduced more accurate measures for our vehicle emissions, focusing on engine size and fuel type for staff vehicles
  • Opened a cycle-to-work scheme for our staff members, promoting healthier commuting options
  • Optimised our email practices to reduce carbon emissions associated with email traffic and removed our email signature from responding internal and some external emails to reduce the size of emails, which in turn reduces CO2 generated via emails
